mr brimble i must add this to the cheap zenoflex pole idea. with these pics i'm gonna add is all you need and on the section you trim down Jeff with the straight bit you only need to trim a couple of inches, and the plastic fantastic fits on the screw thread, and Jeff you know where to get these from you use one of there poles or helped reach new heights 80 plus feet

Cheers, good idea and I remember you mentioned it before.
 But I find the Unger bit is more versatile- more tools. but you can always use the top half of the unger ebow on the bottom half of the universal ( I think)

the only other thing to remember is that when the sun hits it, you dont get pretty patterns like other poles  thats the only downside

Is there any working difference between carbon and carbon/glass composite?

Argos have a composite 8M pole at £40,

Second thoughts...looks crap and expensive next to the Zensorflex.

Squeak it needs to be the strongest carp pole you can get so it needs a high rating. Names like hit and hold or commercial fisheries pole are normally the strongest. Margin poles are strong too but too short for your needs (Zensorflex). The longest, strongest but more importantly cheapest is the Gangsta.

I needed a pole in a rush and got the 11mtr Shimano one from Argos. I needed something light just for 1 job,.. and that job paid for it, so I wasn't bothered if it didn't last.
That was 4 months ago,... now it's my favourite pole!

Fishing poles are extremely light, and much more rigid than most telescopic poles. I'm still planning on buying and SL2, but will continue using cheap fishing poles for everyday work up to about 35'.
You can get 11mtr poles off ebay for £64!

Zensorflex would be my choice, it might not be quite long enough for you, you could buy 2 of them ( you can use the 2 base sections for a extra 6 ft and keep the other bits for spares), thus 40 quid ( ish )

Gangsta, Reload are the same pole, it used to be called the reload now the gangsta

Did reply on other thread. Zensor (try swiftys tackle) and Gangsta (Cheshire fishing).

The gangsta was a lucky find/replacement for the Reload which was taken out of production. The same will happen to the Gangsta one day, its how fishing pole companies work so that you must have the latest must have pole at the higher price.
