Cheers Matt.
Is this it?

cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170264920766&cguid=1053dc2311d0a0aad4b2d6c2fffc04d9

cut and paste that.

Good find but wrong pole its an 8metre one your looking for.
Doh! Of course!

Cheap though wasn't it?!

Ok, I'll look for the Gangsta. (cool name).

Wish I could nip and buy one, rather than waiting for mail order though. :(

The 4th section of the emporium is quite big so the chances of the gangster largest section fitting anywhere near the broken s2 section is remote. The largest section of the Zensor comes somewhere near but its only a 4ft section. It takes a lot of time to do this cross matching at a distance so I have emailed you if you want to get back.
I don't want to fit it into my existing pole.
Might as well have a complete new one.

Ok, I'll just nip up there.
Do they close at 5pm?

If average about 200mph I might just make it.

Just try the telephone.  ;D

ftp,

With regards to Squeaks, it needs to be served on a silver platter for him; garnished with truffle and parsley.

I suspect he was a spoilt child.

No, he's hoping Alex will read this and cycle up to Chepstow with a new S2 to cheer him up.  ;D

Nathaniel got a pole from Argos, dont know how it compares with a gangsta, you need a 13m pole cause the top 3 metre)sections are too thin

Give a couple of these a ring and see if they are open sunday  if they have a lake they usually are. argh wont let me. Try googling fishing tackle chepstow, you are looking for carp poles.

I wasn't spoilt compared to some of my friends, but compared to where Tosh came from I probably was.

Reminds me of the Porridge sketch where Fletcher says "I used to consider myself working class, until I went Glasgow, now I see myself as middle class". ;D

Auf Weidersehn Pet (series II) used the same joke, but with regards to Newcastle.

So what's you're plan of action with this pole?  I'm just being nosey, 'cos if you let me, I may copy you.

Well me old chicken...

I'm going to jump in the deep end and get a decent length carbon pole.

Can't be that hard to fit the screw bit for the brush in the end. ???
Just need to cut it at the right point and glue it in.

As long as I'm careful with it, it'll be fine.
Besides, if it breaks it's a lot less costly than snapping a Superlite.

FAO: Matt or Jeff

Gangsta pole:
What length are the modular sections of this pole?
Is it carbon or carbon composite with glass?
In comparison to a SL-2 how fragile would you rate the gangsta pole.

Reason I ask is because I can see the benefits of using very light fishing poles and I'm looking for a 24ft actual working height minimum and short length modular sections, ideally 4ft or shorter, carbon preferably and strong, able to withstand some neglect from a window cleaner who throws the poles around the place whilst working. Willing to go to £200 what would you advise ticks all the requirements mentioned above.

Wayne,

E-mail Matt and ask for a link to his DIY site; I'm sure you'll find all you need to know; and more, there.

I'm sure Matt is bored with covering old ground, and I'm sure you'll like his DIY carbon fibre pole guide.

Tosh, I've got a link to his site, spent some time trying to take in all the fishing pole DIY bits and bobs. It's a bit double dutch at the moment but slowly taking it on board. :)

I've got links to the fishing suppliers but the websites don't specify clearly wether fishing poles are glass fibre, carbon, carbon composites and what lengths the sections are. That's why I'd like some info from Matt or Jeff regarding my earlier post.
