after talking to v8edd, the local ionics guy. he heats his water up in the morn and thats it for the day

i was trying to think about naths set up and he pumps it through after the tank.

but after talking to edd we only really need to get hot water into the tank. which is great because i couldnt think how you would heat up both hose reels.

i didnt want to run hot through di so came up with this thought

yellow hose is the normal route

the blue hose comes off the pump and could re cycle the water and re heat IF needed

If you had a big water heater,... and a pump designed to take hot water (Like the Ionics ones),...

Still think if you're going to bother with a water heater then an "on demand" one is just as easy!

The small L5 eccotemp units look perfect. I'm about to buy one myself to replace my heater that's just a bit too hot for use in the depths of winter!

The Omnipole heater isn't temperature adjustable. However its still a good heater. I have the new thermostream from Varitech. Its temperature adjustable and has a thermostatic frost protection system to protect your wfp system from frost. The Varitech system is cheaper than the Omnipole system by a fraction.

Why? would you not like to be able to turn it down in the winter?

I don't run a  hot-water system "yet".... but if you have 2 reels would 3 pumps and a small holding tank work....?

Main pump, say 100psi 7Lpm, to supply hot water to a small, well insulated 1 gallon tank, that would then supply 2 smaller, 60psi 4Lpm reel pumps.
Float valve fitted to the second tank to switch off supply.
It would save on having to heaters fitted.....

Thats just to stop the water from freezing. the hot wfp guys use it for its increased cleaning power. Which is the main reason to have a hot system, other than warmer hands

Try IPA in hot water,... it really is quite good!

IPA stops everything freezing but it dosen`t melt through the dirt like hot water,i would want a retro fit with the temp adjustable and the varitech 1 seems to be the only 1 that does but do you have to go to them to get it fitted.
