leak in housing, help........

Just flushed my system through and started filling in van and theres water coming through the top of the thread on my salt housing, should i get some plumbers tape tomorrow or wont this work as constanly being undone to add salt.

There should be a rubber ring in filter/salt housings shouldn't there? Take it out, and inspect it for any cracks etc. Tape is an option, but like you said a bit of a pain.

now you say it tim there isnt a black rubber ring in it, ill get onto gaps tomorrow to get one or is there some where i can get it.

Ive found it but now cant ubder the stupid thing now to put it back on.

Haha, sorry that made me laugh, silly things aren't they those rubber rings, they end up everywhere.

I'm not sure if I understood your last post, but try some fairy liquid around the ring, that might help popping it in.
