40ft Poles
« on: October 07, 2008, 01:09:34 pm »
I'm looking to buy a new 40ft pole for a new clean i've just picked up, i've got an ionics 10 mtr multi pole and although heavy for some i'm ok with the weight. There are 90 windows on this property and belive it or not the 40ft pole is only needed on 6 of the windows.
So what would you recommed? only want to spend about £200 (or less) on it and only need a 12" brush with gooseneck.
As i've been kicked from piller to post in the past because i've only used ionics equipment i would like your advise on this matter as i would like to try something different and then i could comment on another make of pole that i have used ;)

Many thanks Anthony from Worcester and not Swindon :-*

Hello Anthony I used to have a 60ft Ergolite 1 , could I suggest you look at a modular carbon fibre. More money but less weight/dammage to your body.

If modular, there is the Gardiners SL2 pole, everyone raves about it. Im waiting to get one of their tele SL-X poles.

Dont forget if you get the SL2 modular, then you can buy base sections as you need them to go higher at a later date. You cant do that with tele poles.

Looks like sl2 then, mainly because the base sections can be used for the (vac )and you can oder them as a extra.

i got 42 ft ( actual size ) from a RT the reload ( now called gangsta ) with TWO Zensorflex's ( mainly the base sections )

measured it at 42 ft

price for poles, 140 quid ( thats TWO Gangsta and TWO zensorflex )

i have a feeling you will get the same ( or very close ) from ONE Gangsta and THREE zensorflex, as its the base sections that seem to be used ) which would bring the price down to 95 quid

very light, you will have to be carefull with it, but at either 140 or 95 quid, a good price for a pole thats going to be used only on the 1 job
