dont use them so much these days, but i would not use ladders without swivel feet

how do you go on with them when the ground is really soft and the ladder sinks right in,ive some jobs where the 1st rung is level with the ground
stan ,just  flick the feet round on soft ground, whichever way
they will level thereselves

tomy, not sure what you mean  ?

its the 3rd time its happened and its always the bottom rung, just been a bit lazy not replacing it as it started looking worn
Do you drop the ladder down on the bottom rung ??? (be honest)

I used to have a Youngmans but bent when I was climbing at a 45 degree angle, very light but not safe at that angle.

Stan on the soft ground issue, I use ladder mats, they will stop it sinking, and are good for stopping ur ladder slipping on tiled floors[inside of closes ect].
