What are the best ally double pointers?
« on: October 02, 2008, 07:45:38 am »
I discovered my woodens are rotting a bit when one of the feet fell off on Monday. So I need a replacement. What's the best ally pointers I can get?  I've noticed that some don't have splayed legs.

Simon.

Alternativly if anyone local is selling some.

Thats what I used to have Simon.
Your face used to be green with envy when you saw me with them -remember :P :P
Not cheap but very good.
Let them go for a song about 6-9 months ago as not used at all
Why are you still climbing ladders ??

Ramsey without a doubt, though we only use the single 2m pointers.

I dont use A pointer ladders, but was wondering what the idea of that sort of ladder is and isn't it less stable than normal ladders? Talking about the 'A' design that is.

I've a factory I do every month and need them for the inside, see picture(poor quality sorry).  Regular ladders wouldn't work.  I just worked out my monarch wooden pointers lasted 9 years, they're rotten now though.

3 points of contact always stay in touch, never slip.

I use Globe ladders, I find them as good as Ramsay but much lighter. Still expensive though! :)

Hell no! You can place tham at all sorts of angles with no slip. Get some ladder feet on the end and your away. Not only that, that rubber does not mark the frames, or the cladding or the brickwork of houses like normal ladders.

I pointed out to one of my customers the ladder marks their old WC had made using a regular ladder, they were horrified. Using A frames you can get around porch ways etc by placing the ladder base to the side and the point above the porch..magic.

But now my A frames are just a visual piece on my van due to being WFP only, unless i need to use them inside.
