BUNCH OF COWBOYS!!!! i was recommended by a very good friend, who has had no problems at all with them. I have got the wrong bits, late! and i've still got big holes in the floor of my brand new van because they drilled them in the wrong place! I will not be using them again or urging anybody else to touch them at all! so up yours Brodex!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you'd have asked really nicely then they would have sent you a replacement pole to use whilst they repaired yours.
It worked for me. Infact when my broken ploe arrived at brodex I got a call saying I could keep the 'curtosy' pole which was brand new, unlike the 12 month old one I'd sent them.

I have two Brodex poles. Both were requested bare - both came with crappy oval Vikan brushes and thick internal tubing. I was quoted the price for bare poles and I was charged that amount so I can't complain really. However I do like a supplier that listens and gives you what you ask for.

I phoned them because the positive stops got broken on one pole after 3 months use. I asked if it could be repaired and was it worth doing. I was told its not covered under the three year guarantee but It was explained I could repair it myself with by removing the clamp sections with a hammer and chisel or they could do it for a fee. Three year guarantee for what I now ask?

I do think the Aluminum prolong poles are excellent for heavy use (staff etc) but if your looking for lightweight everyday poles for yourself then they are not that really.

To be honest I wont be buying anymore

Had an interesting phone call from Brodex yesterday, their customer service is absolutley laughable!!  I bought a glass fibre pole off them, lasted 3 days!  Clamps snapped, it wouldnt open and close smoothly, was dreadfull! Contacted brodex, they sent new pole out, which i thought was good, yet was just the same (except they had sprayed it with wd40 so it slid in and out) I didnt like it still, the quality is poor, and they admitted their was a manufacturing fault on those poles, so i asked for a refund... 4 weeks later i contacted them again and was told ok, no probs, they took my card details and said refund was done, and they collected poles.  2 weeks later no refund in bank, after me calling them again, they decide i have abused the pole and no refund!! The manager even had the cheek to say that they "didnt need customers like me"!!?? What unhappy customers? customers that wont put up with poor products and dreadfull service?  She even had the cheek to say "have fun with facelift" as she hung up on me!!
Im sorry but i thought service like this was long since gone, if i treat my customers the way brodex do i dont think i would have many left!!  So Brodex, if your reading this, get in touch and lets sort this out!!
Also Please think twice about dealing with brodex, they are quite happy to take your money, but not to sort any problems out.  Brodex, you should be ashamed. :-[

How much did you pay for the pole?

I don't think it matters what he paid for the pole, it should be fit for purpose.
I also understand that you may be saying you only get what you pay for.
But I have never rated Brodex, for products customer service or delivery, compared to Gardiners or the window cleaning warehouse.
