Had a phone call from them about  just over 2 weeks ago and placed an order with them and guess what?

They sent me the wrong items and have charged me not only twice but twice as much aswell.

Spoke to someone last week and they said it will be sent out tomorrow and I will get it the next day..... And did I? NO

This will be the last time I will order from this company , If you have had any bad service from this company or any other then let every one know, If they think they can offer a good and prompt service then forget Brodex

I found an ad of theirs in the FWC mag, it says first class after sales service, sales service second to none.. From some replies on here, i think they need to change that part of their ad :P

It would be a good idea to get the name of this person, so if any of us deal with them, we can try with another operator later  ;D

I can also recommend Mike Ingram of Pure Efect, based at Unit 11, Enterprise Park, Russell Road, Southport - 01704 232666, www.pure-efect.co.uk.  He has been excellent in all my dealings with him unlike Brodex and I will continue using Pure Efect for all my future business.

I can absolutely recommend Mike (PUREEFECT). My Brodex van mount only worked properly after he sorted it, 18 months after purchase.

so let me get this straight, Mike can sort out Brodex mess should your equipment fail. Did he ever work for them as they appear to be located in close proximaty geographically. Maybe, I should call him sometime. What are his prices like on equipment, had a look at his website, doesnt appear to say anything.

Mike of Pure Effect worked for Brodex for many years, (I met with him when I helped Brodex get started by selling their first few systems) and was probably the most knowledgeable engineer they had.
The story I heard was that he was made redundant a couple of years ago together with several other experianced members of staff who were then quickly replaced by some cheaper foreign workers.
I cannot say if this is totally correct but it is what I  was told.

that makes sense and may have an element of truth in it as they have many eastern Europeans working for them. If you look at Mikes website, I feel as there is a heavy brodex influence!! May give Mike a call! :)

Ive never bought any thing from Brodex and I live on the same bridge as them, there is no need to pay over the odds. I have had quotes from them before. Mike at pure efect set me up far cheaper than they could. Mike works by himself, has more knowledge than anyone when it comes to systems. He gives us continual support whenever we need it, more than happy to help you with any quieries etc. We have a 2000ltr RO system at our premises, a 800ltr system on one van with a second one being in the process of being fitted. Mike has also built us a 400ltr box trailor mounted system. I cannot recommend him enough.

I have just spoke to Mike, sounds like a nice bloke and very clocked on, very much on the ball. It confirms what you guys have said about him. I now know who to speak to if I do have a problem with my equipment. As I am looking to purchase further accessories, I will be giving my business to someone who has genuine after sales care  :) and not to someone who claims to care.  >:(

So I would like to recommend Mike from Pure Effect to others! :)

Time to defend Brodex!!
Dissapointed to hear you are not happy with Brodex, but fair enough you have had a few bad experiences with us, but I guarantee theres alot more people who are happy with us!

Why do the Biggest companies in this feild only buy off Brodex - OCS,Interserve, Mitie, the list goes on.

If you were to have a problem, I personally will make sure I resolve the problem that day. Thats why I have customers coming back time and time again with never any problems.

Even Mr H, who has never bought off Brodex, would refer any window cleaner to me.

Give it a chance and you wont be let down. All this criticism will make Brodex a bigger and better company!!

Since being a member here for about 2 years I reckon of all the posts involving Brodex approx 90% are negative! It's not very often anyone seems to be totaly pleased with them & many who are, initially pleased, often change their oppinion shortley after!! ???

On this observation alone, i would never trust them!

I have spoke with Mr H many times. Hes been on here posting Brodex offers telling people to only ask for myself. Ask him for yourself.

I can only speak from my own experience of Brodex and that is that their equipment is very good, the person who I was referring to as brain dead is NOT Rhys I may add.

I've never been to bed with an ugly bird but I've woken up with loads!

brodex told me if i sighned up for a system to be fitted ide get a free prolong then totely changed there mind wile i was there and  tryed to give me a preditor instead. then after promising full removal of my ply on the floor they only took half of it out.then tryed charging me 5pound each for 2 mettal fittings after spending over 1300pound with them then 1 of the fittings leaked flooded the van and i had to pay over 80pound to get some one to remove the set up and the rest of the ply and refit the system .then after a recomendation[omg cant belive i did] they said ide get 150pound credit to spend on anything in there .that changed to heres a 25f preditor take it or leave it .like i said i will go to a proper water fed pole company next time
