Brodex
« on: September 25, 2008, 02:08:55 pm »
Had a phone call from them about  just over 2 weeks ago and placed an order with them and guess what?

They sent me the wrong items and have charged me not only twice but twice as much aswell.

Spoke to someone last week and they said it will be sent out tomorrow and I will get it the next day..... And did I? NO

This will be the last time I will order from this company , If you have had any bad service from this company or any other then let every one know, If they think they can offer a good and prompt service then forget Brodex

it all depends on who you get on the other end of the phone.

there's one guy and I'll not mention his name but he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer

I have had poles off brodex, you can not fault the quality of the products they are excellent, they messed up my delivery which nearly cost me a big job but compensated me by giving me a free pole!!! so in all good poles not great service.

They are crap >:(  Rest assured, if they want to sell you something, they will be prompt to call you. If there is a problem, they dont appear to be prompt-strange one that!

other than the brain dad turkey whose name I do not wish to mention I can't fault Brodex.  Their poles and systems are top notch.  A little bit pricey but very easy guys to deal and haggle with

could that person be P*****k. perhaps. I find most of the others there OK to deal with. Had a few, 6or 7 poles off them and built a full system with parts off them, but as you say, when I had a problem with one of my poles at about 2-3 months, was recommended to buy some araldite and 'stick it back on'

On the other hand though they do 'sometimes'  offer compensation of sorts for **** ups, but these shouldn't happen very often.

easy to haggle with or over inflated prices reduced to make you feel you've bagged a deal

I have a problem with an 18ft predator.. The fist clamp is gone and the top section is spinning when the pole is fully down.

The guy is helping me is great (I can't remember his name right now). He is shipping a replacement pole early next wek. If he just sticks to that I will be very happy with the response and his handling of the problem. So far so good.

They also make themselves sound bigger than they are. If you call through to them, you are greeted with an a voice prompt along the lines of “press 1 for sales, press 2 for marketing, press 3 for technical support…..etc etc. It doesnt matter what number you press you always get the same voices.

They are always saying how their after sales support is so much better than ionics, if that is the case I’d hate to think what Ionics service is like. They do tend to bang on about how good there service is but talk is cheap and isnt backed up by action. I mean any fool can talk a good game. Just because they say they are good doesn’t mean they are!!

Talking to one of the marketing staff, she told me that they will provide as much help as they can on the marketing side of your business. When I probed further all she said she can do is give me pictures from their website/literature as they are of higher quality/resolution-any reputable designer worth his/her salt can get sharp images!!!!

Maybe someone should email them this thread if they arent already having a butchers now, would be interesting to see what they make of such feedback!

I bought an e compact system off them. Works good but why only 1 filter??? Poles ok got one of the aluminium ones with free preditor, works great, but. After sales is shocking...Will send tomorrow!!!! Means will perhapce send it sometime nextweek as we have to oder it in from timbuktu and the bloke is bringing it on a bike.

If your desperate for something (I lost 2 weeks work once through them not sending gear, then they sent wrong stuff) get intouch with someone eles.

I can absolutely recommend Mike (PUREEFECT). My Brodex van mount only worked properly after he sorted it, 18 months after purchase.
