i have just done my tax forms for this yr....i had help from a friend who has given me some info and not sure if this correct and wondered if anyone knew about this.We live in a housing ass house,my partner has a window cleaning round. His cheques come to the house if he isnt paid cash.Other than that, bank statements, phone bills and tax return forms come to the house and thats it.We have been told cos this is a housing ass house we can be evicted for this cos were running a business from home, even tho the only thing goin on from here is post comin to this address.Equipment is not stored at the house, the van is parked in our allocated parking spot, and this does not cause a nuisance to our neighbours, nor do ppl come to the house for the business.Does any one have any knowledge about this??

Hi Barry

I lived in a Housing Association property some time ago and ran a book-keeping business from home.  I just phoned them and checked if it was ok, no problems.

I think the rule is more to stop people fixing cars on their driveway, etc than someone working away from the house but having their office there, but why not ring them (perhaps anonymously if you prefer)

Kind Regards

Diane
