Just one of the Domestics I priced today
« on: September 15, 2008, 07:17:36 pm »
Half hour drive to get there but its out in the sticks, I priced this Job today for a nice 3 figure sum and walked away with it on a 2 monthly basis, we have to start tomorrow morning.

On the way in we had to stop and ask directions, the guy we asked for directions asked us for a card, the size of the houses around this area are huge, there was one that looked so big it would take 2-3 days to complete, if I want to start my own round up again I know where I'm going to put my flyer's.

The woman thought it would take us at least 2 days to do the Job and don't ask me why but its for bottoms only, except for one picture window around the front door area., it also includes the conservatory roof, also in and out of the indoor swimming pool, I'll get some better pictures tomorrow as the woman was following us around.

So much for those huge electric gates the boss said they had  ::) they are electric but I could hop over them. and before you say it, I know the windscreen of the van needs washing

Just a tiny bit of the drive through the woods after going through the gate.

The house wasn't as big as I thought it would be? you can just see the one picture window upstairs I have to do.

This is the side and that's it, apart from the conservatory next to it.

The conservatory outside to be done including the roof, non of the above windows to be touched?

A couple of windows through the trees you can just about see.

The indoor swiming pool has to be done in  and out, I'll get some more and better pictures tomorrow.

Just look at the response about the google earth show street level 3d views. Car theifs etc. Not I know you could work out the address from that, but how many people do you think might recognise that house of they lived near by and now know they have an open window about there porch that could be managed for forcing entry and one at the back above the concervatory that could also be used to gain access.

Some people could do allot with a little info, depends how you look at it, a window cleaner wont see anything wrong, but what about the criminals.

Problem is you have to think about the what if. So you you definately want to ask permittion and do your best not to give away the location.

Certainly a big house - probably belongs to a window cleaner - well known for not wanting to clean their own!

There is no clues to its location and there won't be, so don't ask? And the lady of the house even offered me the estate agents brochures from when she bought the house, when I asked her permission to not only put it on the net but to add some to my web-site.
I went to walk in the indoor swimming pool area to check what windows were there? I was met by two Dobermans snarling at the windows, she had to move them out before I went in, so if anyone is brave enough to try and walk through the open doors, don't ask me to clean up the mess ;D

Matt I have the post code, I just wish I could give it to you so that you can see it on the google map,  on the Map it looks even bigger than it did when I drove past it, on the google map it looks like the maze prison lol  I'm also talking about the out buildings around it, there like 3 bedroom houses.

The house I priced today also has out buildings 6 to be exact and I haven't even given a price for them, like the lady said to me today its a timing thing and what she meant by that, was she is due to give birth TODAY and she's having it at home in one of those special pools (not the swimming pool) and I don't fancy being around when she goes into labour, I would be off running through those woods like a cruse missile.

Once the little one is born all the tops and the out buildings have to be priced for, yummy yummy ;D.

jeff, please dont take that the wrong way, I dont really think anyone wold decide to break in to that house based on them picks. My point was only that is important to ask permission as you have, so that if anything unforseen was to happen, it wont fall on you because the owner gave you permission.

No it wasn't taken the wrong way and I agree with you entirely, and for those reasons I always ask the owners permission, every picture of a house or part of, on my web-site, has given there permission, even if its just a window showing or a length of there guttering you can never be to careful.

I was in the security trade for 15 years and know a lot of scams people pull to rob a house.
