The New Hose reel swivel may have to go
« on: September 12, 2008, 07:37:13 pm »
Well Michelle has tried the new hose reel swivel a couple of times and she doesn't like it , So anyone who lives near me may be able to pick it up soon, if they want it?

I've told her she has to give it a little longer and if she still can't get on with it, I'll take it out and give it away.

I have used it myself a few times and got on well with it, I suppose its just a woman thing but she just can't get on with it.

one thing I do like about it? is it keeps the hose and reel very secure when driving around.

What a waste of time that was?  well we live and learn. ::)

It was an interesting project that you approached in a common sence way so to that degree you succeeded. I take it the hose does exit the drivers side door.

Other than that does Michele find working with a complete package better?

Has she got a 17'xtel?

There's nothing wrong with it, I used it ok,

like I said I think its a woman thing, bare in mind Michelle hasn't been wfp that long and all her training was done with the reel out of the trailer and its Just something she got used to?

I found my self getting used to a van mount against my trailer was a learning kerb as well, good Job I still have my trailer, if I had my way I would get rid of the van lol

Hi Clive
The hose is used mainly from the drivers side door and once or twice from the rear doors, I my self did use it from the passenger side door once but that's a job once every six weeks.

Michelle has a choice of poles in her van but her favorite is the harris pole, so I can see her putting an slx on her Christmas list.

She's cack handed  ::) she has to use her wrong hand to reel it in and the wrong hand to hold the top bar,
I use my left hand to hold the top bar and my right hand to reel it in so it works fine for me.

It can be turned around and that's what we'll try next week, She got to used to putting her foot onto the reel and just winding it in with speed when it was in the trailer, now she can't use her feet to hold it, I think she gets confused being a woman Lol.

Her words were? ''Its like trying to pat your head while rubbing your belly''  ::)
