I had a phone call this week to go and price a Job for cleaning the roof of a conservatory, I went to meet the lady and she began to tell me that she already has a w/c but he won't touch the roof of the conservatory or the window above it, (he's Trad) when this custy asked him why he couldn't do the roof ? His reply was you need strong chemicals but they will kill all your plants and surrounding grass? and could do a lot of damage to the conservatory.

Now she was chatting in general with one of my own customers and my custy told her ''My window cleaner use's echo friendly stuff'' that doesn't even kill fish?? (Well she actually told her that the fish like it Lol)

Just to put this lady's mind at rest I went and got my container to let her read the label, She was over the moon that her conservatory roof could be cleaned with an eco friendly product, needless to say I got the Job of the whole conservatory on the condition I could do those pointy bits at the top Lol, also Just to keep this lady happy I did the window above the conservatory for her.
She was over the moon with the end results and the pointy bits (finials) at the top were spotless for her.

I could have walked away with the job of doing her windows on a regular basis as well, she's not very happy with her old w/c now, but I told her I don't take other w/c work but she has my number for the future.
but I got a twice a year Job from it.

So the words getting around about the ecover truck wash.

Was gonna ask the same question. Also, does it rinse well off glass? Not like the "fairy" effect! I am thinking to do a deep clean on new work with something like this. Then perhaps repeat every couple of years.

We have found that with repeated use, the waterfed method can leave a gradual build-up on the glass which I assume is from diesel fumes. Was thinking to hit the windows with some kind of chemical periodically to remove this

I used it on a job last week where they wanted the window frames done.

It needs good rinsing, its pretty much the same as the Fairy effect, but just make sure it gets rinsed well.

I did have to go back on this particular job as the frames had for some reason a hole in each of them just on the lower bar of the top opener, which leaked water afterwards, just like a vent would.

Once that had stopped running, they cmae up good as new.

i use a dilute gg3 solution , in a backpack for this. go over with van mount , rinses of no problem.

Isopropanol would do the trick for film build-up on the glass. It can be added to your standard tank and does not affect your TDS.

OK, I use ecover on every upvc Job I do, I spray it on then leave it for 5-10 minutes then wash it off, If its a guttering Job I use my gutter lance but if its on conservatories I use wfp only, same thing applies I spray it on leave it 5-10 minutes but then I brush it off, there is really no hard scrubbing involved and only gentle brushing on the finials because there always loose.

All my Jobs but one have only ever had one application of ecover and some have been really bad.

When I do guttering it inevitable sprays onto the windows this is why I always include a window clean with every guttering Job I do, I have never had a problem with any effects of ecover on the windows, Don't forget this product it bio degradable and easily wash's away.

Jeff, what's the longest you've left this ecover on (forgot about it) and then had to remove it. What's the minimum length of time (5 mins?) you leave it on and what's the duilution ratio please. Good selling point with pets and fishponds

About 20 minutes when a custy came out yapping to me : I thought I would have to re-apply it, but when I started to wash it, I seen the little suds come up, so I carried on washing and it came up a treat.

As for dilution, It says on the container 15% dilution, but I stick 1ltr into a 5ltr container and use it that way, it already has a 30% water content. 

The time for application on the bottle says 1-5 minutes but like I say I leave mine 5-10 minutes and it does a good Job. 
I find its becoming very popular with my custys, these country people like to look after the country side and that's good news for me.

Thats what I use, its a harris pole with a garden sprayer nozzle secured to it using cable ties. The pipe-work runs up through the pole from a garden pump sprayer and is fine for applying to finials and rooves etc. The thing about finials I have found is theyre fragile, easily broken Id imagine, but once this ecover is sprayed on them a very light brushing removes the algae and grime that they pick up, they never did come up like they do now, its really nice to see all the contours and fiddly bits spotless now.

Jeff I spotted that nozzle setup you have before, it looks somewhat superior to the one I have  where did you get it from?

I'll get one but shop around  methinks, I like the look of yours it looks like it gives a more even spread of spray.

Once you pump the pressure up, it gives a very good even spray, like having a shower.

If you get yourself a trigger you can control  it from your pole, other-wise you have to release the pressure when you want to stop, that becomes a pain in the rear when you only want to move, Just means you have to re-pump it.
