pump problem

anyone help with my backpack not used it for ayear but need to start using it regular .so bought anew battery  but all that happens is the pump gets hot but no noise or pumping. its a shurflo p.s.i. 60 do they sieze up if not used for awhile  any suggestions feel like binning it  cheers.

sounds like the impeller is stuck  a bit of light oil  should do the trick

cheers but not up on technical stuff where is the impellar? is it in the middle of the pump?

Ive never taken one apart mate but it s probably under the top cover??

I would carefully unscrew the top and have a look inside to see if anything is jammed or seized>

Hit it with a big hammer ;D

It might just free it up, if not at least it's very satisfying smashing an irritating bit of kit to smithereens ;D ;D

took it apart carnt see owt looks like hammer is gonna earn some coin cheers

my pump has stopped twice recently and both times  a smack with the hammer got it going again , got another on order now just in case its terminal regards alan
