I see that one programme called sage is actually accepted by hmrc and I believe this because you cannot go back into it and change entries. (i've seen internet adds to do just that ;D)

I use Sage. Sage works using the 'double entry' principle.

I hate it!!

Its time consuming and a nightmare if you do an incorrect entry. You can delete the entry (as you say, it never goes away) you delete the entry then enter the information correctly. The original incorrect entry will show up as a red entry.

Its good for running VAT returns.

But as they say - junk in, junk out!

Yes, this was added to the last update. Sometimes due to threading issue this happens and I have not been able to reproduce consistently enough to know why it happens. As a work around I have added a 15 second timeout and as you pointed out the program should function normally - I put the message up just to let you know that if the data is not as expected it maybe a refreshing issue :-)

Thanks

Ian

Hi Ian,

No, I tend to use Kitco, ADVFN, Capital Spreads (their free platform) and some others.

I do like the Metatrader training guides though!...very easy to understand and I love they way they talk you through the programme as he's working with it. Makes it all very easy to understand and he shows you little tricks and tips to get the most out of the programme.

I use Metatrader as part of FXDD. Its such a cool plattform and you can program your own models. I follow a few trading methods but am only trading on a test account at the moment

I know you're probably rushed off your feet Ian, but any idea when we might have a tutorial up?

Just wanted to give an update on import utility. I have completed the coding and will test tomorrow morning. Once it's complete I will make a release version.

I can only apologise for not finishing tonight.

Thanks

Ian

Dave,

If you dont mind I may take you up on that offer. You have a fairly large DB so it should enable us to iron out on import problems

Ill let you know when the first beta is ready.

Thanks

I have to admit liistening in....with the amount of issues being reported WCP does 'appear' to be a product in the making abliet a very good one.

For the time being though, I shall stick with the devil I know (George)...have to admit Ian does seem very on the ball with his fixes and updates....very reassuring but hot software is not my idea of fun...

Good luck Ian.

Dave.

Dave,

The only issue people are really having is that they require the import utility. There have been no 'issues' rasied over the functionality of the software. Peolpe have been requesting new features rather than fundamental changes.

Thanks

Ian I do not want to argue with you as you are doing a fantastic job but I have read through this thread, issues have been reported over some items concerned wih functionaility. I just observed and made a comment but please do not tell me no issues have been raiesed when clearly some have and you have stated this when making references to fixes.

Good luck...it does look at great product and when it's finished I will certainly be looking at it.

Cheers
Dave.

Dave,

I meant that any bugs that were raised have been fixed in the updates and since then I don't think that any are outstanding, the items I have on my list of things to do are additional features. The core product I beleive is stable and has been tested over the last 4 months.

Thanks for the vote of confidence and I look foward to your suggestions once you start using it (hopefully sonner rather than later :-) )

Ian
