Advantages of WFP:

No damage to sills
No damage to lawns/flowerbeds with ladders
No fairy washing up liquid stains left on sills
No looking for water to fill up the bucket
No Frames cleaned every time
No wiping dry
No ladder knee
Make more money "lots more"
shall I go on.......

Advantages of trad:

NONE imo

What about dry, finished (in the customers eyes) windows?

Sounds good, but don't forget hot water freezes much quicker in the winter.

i wonder why a trad window cleaner earned around 200 a day .now he has a wig on a stick he wants to earn 500 in half a day .i appreciate that the van and equipment is expensive but why rip off the people who pay your wages .and what about your heavy handed canvassing approach .PLEASE SIGN HERE FOR THE NEXT TWELVE MONTH ,does not matter how hard you try they will always come back to there cheery reliable traditional window cleaner ,so all you water fed pole window cleaners feel free to reply   ;Dso if anyone out there in the lancashire area wanting to give away all the wfp clients they have lost think im on to my first million  ;D

You know how to put the cat amongst the pigeons  ;D

If there is WFP cleaners out there asking people to sign up then I agree with you....

I do not see this trad window cleaner against WFP.... Trad is an excellent tool and yes there are benefits over WFP .. But WFP is also a tool and has benefits over Trad

I use them both and both do the job well..

One last think, I do honestly think WFP is the future keep an open mind and you never know you might look at your round and think about WFP on some of your work... Remember that a lot of us was trad only but went to WFP

all the best  ;)

I would not say that Trad has NO advantages  ::)

WFP can only clean certain windows where trad can clean all, Also for simplisity trad wins hands down, then there is inside work

So yes WFP is excellent but Trad has got its good points  ;D

I can do pretty much any window with wfp, only if they are in the worst condition then the finish isn't as good.

You try doing windows over porches trad, or set back dormers, or second, third, heck 5th floor. Wfp can do a lot more windows then trad. Trad can do all? I don't think so. ;) ;)

What I don't understand is why some trad cleaners get so angry about WFP. If its as rubbish as they go to great lengths to point out so what?

I think trad and wfp are both good methods to have at your fingertips , after all some jobs are suited to one or the other sometimes  ;D
I am getting too old to be around people who  don't understand the concept of  loyalty and honesty.

Trad can do all? I don't think so. ;) ;)

Sorry Tim I did not explain it well, What I meant was this...
WFP can only do a good job if the frames are good, you said so yourself that you had a job and its got bad frames the finish is not that good  :'( But trad can clean all windows if you can get to it , As for this cleaning 5th storys, what about 44th floor and so on. you need to absail down and use trad tools. So if you can get to a window trad can clean it

Good point about window above conserv that is one of WFP strengths  ;)

Why oh why  :-\
Everyone on here secretly knows trad is far superior to wfp , end of argument  ;D

I think I'll take a little 'forum holiday' until the trolls move on...I move into my new house on Monday so decorating will be the name of the game....

See you all in a while...happy holidays...

Cheers
Dave.

at the end of the day trad and wfp both do an excellent job if used correctly, if you dont use your equipment right you will get bad results

agreed wfp isnt suitable for very window but it has more advantages than trad and also is much safer, i think the money part only comes down to how you work is priced

a lot more customers seem to prefere trad its because of what theyve been used to and the big factor i think is the dry finish but youve got to be a good trad cleaner to get good results.

use what methord which is suitable for your work, job done! 8) ;)

Brett.
