Over the last 2 weeks my pump as started to loose presure it showed 500psi on the gauge but only 400psi on the gauge when I press the trigger on the wand,this is gradualy getting worst today I can only get 150psi out of it.When I change to my cfr hand tool it looses pressure but not as much as when I'm using a wand.I've cleaned all the filters checked the jets everything seems fine.
   The powerflite machine is only 7 months old I contacted the distributer and he says it normal for the pump to loose pressure over time,personaly I think he's fobbing me off the machine as a 12 month warranty wich covers the pump.Anyone had any similar problems.

Ive had the exact same problem with the pump on my Raptor i had to send it back to them last week so hopefully find out in the next few days whats wrong with it.Its also less than a year old expect better when your paying £2500+vat and you dont even get a year out of it.

Does your pump have a priming lever/button to get rid of airlocks?  Could possibly be that.

Does the gauge sit at the correct static pressure when the flow is closed off but drop down as soon as you pull the trigger?

How old are the jets in your wand and what size are they?

The higher the total flow rate of the jets, the less resistance is offered for the pump to build pressure, which will happen more as the jets wear out.  Stainless steel ones are apparently a good investment.

What sort of performance do you get using a regular single jet hand tool?

I have had this problem and found it to be the seal on the plunger which adjusts the pressure regulator. One of the seals had split away causing a partial blockage. You can get a repair kit from distributor. Its just one of the many problems I have had with my machine. Never again

Tried my cfr hand tool ran at 500psi lost 100psi,also tried my old extracta wand ran at 200psi dropped down below 100 psi.

Well, the pump finally  packed in on me on my last job on Thursday afternoon which I was very pleased about!It had been loosing even more pressure since my oringanal post so I contacted the distrubuter and arranged to take it down on Friday for them to look at.I was relieved when it packed in because there were saying that even though  parts were under warranty for 12 months this wouldn't cover the pump head because it would be down to wear and tear.Anyway after a 3 hour drive and 2 hour wait my rang to say it was ready.When I got back to the shop he explained that he had to replace the complete pump because the cam was broken he then went on to say that Amtech wouldn't cover it under warranty but out he would.

was this Cleansmart by any chance as my pump on the powerflite is suspect too

Its a poor show but few manufactures stand by pumps.

I as talking to one manufacturer who told me the pumps were not designed for Carpet Cleaning  and the stop start that happens

The cam broke my arse do yourelf a favour take the end plate off have a look at the cam
its 20 mm steal bar and the bearing is oversized for the job probably had no grease or the valves have failed, do you pump clean water through the pump at the end of each day as the chemicals are corosive and can block the pump.
The mechanical side of most pumps are not that difficult to work on cheaper and quicker than taking it to the dealer

Yes it was Cleansmart.It's not realy a good idea messing with pumps under warranty better left to them,that would give them another excuse not to honour the warranty I think.

My cam broke a few weeks ago, replacement bearing cost about £15.
now plastered in Shell alvania grease, designed for extreme pressure and conditions.
4 bolts release the pump head from the motor, Knock the old bearing loose counter clockwise.
fit new eccentric bearing tighten clockwise, replace 4 bolts and Bob's your uncle.
Literally a 15 minute job tops.

No you can tease the pump head out of the way.

The pump on my speester was loosing pressure big time, when I stripped it down it was a small piece of casing that had come away and got stuck under one of the valves so itcouldnt close.
Just fitted a new head from Matt, I think it was £150. No worries as machine was over 2 rs old and done stacks of work.
