I got rid of my Unger BOAB because it was scoring the squeegee rubber on the side not in use which meant I could only get use out of one side of the rubber. I replaced it with the Pulex Tubex but this is scoring the rubber on the side which is in use! I am storing a 14” Unger Ergotec in the shallow squeegee slot and an 18” one in the middle slot. It is the 18” which is getting scored where it rests against the plastic edge of the slot. Is this a common problem? Is there any way of overcoming it?

Stick an old rubber on the inside edge.

Glue the old rubbers underside, probably best to cut the rib off first. Then gingerly drop in the boab hole where you want to protect the blade. Use long coat hanger or anything similar to press the rubber down on the plastic to get it to stick better.
