bought some of these off John Kelly last week, tried them for the first time this morning they are brilliant!

bigger than the foil tabs you can buy and also thicker.

I'm surprised no one else has thought of it before, if you are ordering anything of John then don't forget to get some

Bought some off John at the CCDO and find them much better then using foil card on the heavier stuff.
Things like dining chairs I still place a foil card underneath, maybe cause I still got more then a few.
but yes, Sticky Tabs are good.
JK sells them on Ebay as well at the same price (for those ebay freaks)

I must say I have tried sticky tabs and can thoroughly recommend them. They are just the bees knees and really good value for money.

The best thing about these is you can put them on the back legs of something that goes up against a wall or in a corner and slide them into place.

Lifting those heavy sofas when it goes against a side wall or unit, is a right bu**er - trying to get something under the feet. They slide superbly on the damp carpet dont they

I use sticky tabs now, but am I missing something here.
to get them under the back feet of a sofa - youstill need to lift the sofa to get them under  -  dont you?

Once under the feet, yes they slide easy.

you can tip the sofa over rather than lift it
i find it much easier and just slap those bad boys on the feet

Yes Ian, I think my business card must have been the only one in the tin - I dont normally win anything.

John had the sticky tabs on the van, I only saw them close to the end when most had packed up.

They usually stick on to whatever you put them on but some surfaces dont grip as good as others so I have to be carefrul whem sliding things that they are still on afterwards.

I have two reservations about these:

If they get stuck up the sides of the furniture legs or anywhere that shows, they might pull the varnish off or otherwise damage it in some way.

Also, do they leave a sticky residue on the surface they were stuck to?  I can see a problem where the customer removes the tabs, then moves the furniture around and they get little sticky patches on the carpet that dirt sticks to and then turns grey.

might check tomorrow to see if any residue does stick the the underside of the feet.

Your thinking is right Derek

but when you look at how much car manufacturers spend on R&D ............ you still get call backs on things which should have been (and sometimes have been) sorted years ago.

know where your coming from joe but i think theres i little bit more to designing a car than a sticky tab. anyway, proofs in the pudding, lets see what the guys experiments come too.
