Positive thinking
« on: July 25, 2008, 06:30:31 am »
I've noticed since starting this business that if you think positive you get positive back. Without trying to sound like a new age hippy my thoughts alone seem to generate new business.
If I'm day dreaming about the day I'm so busy I'm turning away work I get new work coming in from all directions but as soon as I think of money, how well off I could be and what I could spend it on quotes just dry up!
I've heard of a book called The Biggest Secret that centers around this line of thinking but being esoteric knowledge has constantly been supressed. Over the last year I've tried to let go of my ego and spend as little as possible on materialistic goods and this has had a huge effect on my life and the way I view money.
Window cleaning has earned me more money than any other job I've had but money isnt everything and I'm going to continue this journey of thought as it seems to be serving me very well.

I was always one for PMA courses and was brought up on Think, Believe, Act, Become!

You will get people who scoff at you and laugh and all the rest but then look at what they are doing and ask if you want to be like them too?

Too many people queue up to knock you and have a dig so the fact you praise yourself is only a good thing!

All of life, not just windowcleaning relies on a positive approach and yes you can influence the way you think.

Nobody will succeed if they don't believe they can.

I've heard of a book called The Biggest Secret that centers around this line of thinking but being esoteric knowledge has constantly been supressed.

Why? By whom?

Perhaps by  the  illuminati who secretely control the world?   ;)

Positive thinking is indeed a good thing but conspiracy theories are not.
Cheers,
Neil

Conspiracy theories are a good thing. They make people question reality. If we all just believed what were told we'd be brain dead sheep. As Winston Churhhill once said "those who control the media control the world. Were being controlled alright, thats obvious but to get back to topic, esoteric knowledge has been supressed by NWO, global goverment etc because its so powerful and thet dont want us to use or know about it.
Influencing other peoples thoughts with positive thinking is a very powerful tool and shouldnt be underestimated. Witches were burnt to keep this kind of thing quite. Sorry, this is a cleaning forum, my apologies ;)

Rich dad-poor dad, read these books for inspiration.  If financial freedom is your goal these books offer some great advice.

The 'Secret' is a good book, all about cosmic ordering and stuff, might sound like a load of old tripe, but Noel Edmonds got into it and it changed his life around didn't it?

The suppression stuff is nonsense of course, that's done I think to 'sell' the idea, but there is certainly something in thinking positive, being positive that goes beyond the norm.
Compare Squeaky and myself; Both use the same systems, work in the same area, got the same van and so on and so on.

Roger is constantly bemoaning the fact he doesn't have enough work, never seems to quote for new stuff, no one knocks on his van window asking for a quote...

Whereas I'm constantly getting to be asked to price for new work and I'm not going out canvassing or knocking doors...the other day I was parked up at a garage parking bay (one of those ones with a convenience store attached) having a bite to eat, guy knocks on window and asks for a quote...but the house was 30 miles away!!!
I said fine, but it would have to be a big house to justify going all that way!

His reply was that the last window cleaner was charging £200 a clean....more than worth driving 30 miles for I reckon! 8)

A woman in an office I clean also had me clean her house windows...another that was 20 miles out of my way...inside and out, £200 and to be done every 3 months or so...

I believe the work will come to me, my cosmic order has been put out there!

My 'cosmic order' wasn't for more money, or even more work, it was for something else, but in order to achieve it I need to be in a financial position to do so.
For the life of me I cannot work out why Roger has so little luck, in the end I think it has to be down to mental attitude...you have to believe...you have to have faith, constant negativity will only ever achieve negative results.

Books such as 'The Secret' can help you change your thought processes, but you have to work at it....

Positive and negative..for some strange reason you have to have both! ;D

But when a problem pops up I view it as a challenge and not as an obstacle...if you see what I mean?
