Am I the only one??
« on: July 24, 2008, 11:51:06 pm »
I've the window cleaning warehouse backpack....pleased as punch with it, although I fully van mounted I have found it an excellent piece of kit...however...

The bloody charger is useless!

Sorry, let me clarify...

The unit you push the charger into is feeble...this has nothing to do with the window cleaning warehouse, it's the product and not the suppier...they are first rate I might add.
It is so flimsy...you have to fidle and twiddle with the bloody thing it drives  you round the twist trying to get the red light to come on trying to get it to charge!

The first one fell apart after a week (the unit on the backpack itself) and now - after being ultra careful for a few weeks - the exchange unit has gone the same way  :'(

Am I alone in this problem or does anyone else have similar issues?

Once more I must reiterate, this isn't the fault of the window cleaning warehouse  , in all dealing with them I have found them second to none.

i have one , and i had the same, then after a week the charger burnt out... so to save messing around i unscrew the screws take the tank section off , and charge  it with my car battery charger.... it charges very quickly....

as i only use it a couple of times a week i dont need to charge it that often, but it is a good piece of kit :)

Mine, not a sureflo, is the same.  I finally got a Trolley instead.  I've just broken the connectors on that!

Backpacks are more trouble than they are worth.

If you add up the cost, the time and effort in charging, or carrying to a job only to find the battery is flat.

You might as well sack the couple of piddling jobs you bought it for.

I have not used mine for 12 months, they just clutter my garage and are covered in dust.

I'm going to do the same thing, except I'm going to attach a couple of leads to the battery and lead them out through the hole where the charger fitted into and use an intelligent charger to charge the battery up...no way do I want to be constantly unscrewing the bottom section!

I've found it a really good investment though, it's used every day, it compliments my van mounted system perfectly.
