there are all sold at a competitive price, when you think the petroleum thats used in production? ask yourself why they have remained static in price for few years? thats because the suppliers have not  passed on there increases to the consumer

WFP hose has never been cheaper! When I first came up with the idea of using microbore hose rather than 1/2" hose about 7 years ago, I had to go to a specialist firm who could only supply it in 30 metre lengths and it cost £2 per metre meaning that 100 metres worked out at over £200 after putting the VAT on.   

When we first started selling microbore hose just over 3 years ago we were selling it at £90 for 100 metres.  Our next nearest competitor was selling it for £83 for 50 metres.  Since then we've been able to supply this product at continually lower prices until now it costs £44 per 100 metres (and there are cheaper ones available).

Some people have had problems with pumps and controllers with 6mm hose and others haven't. You will find that the varistream controllers and shurflo pumps are not warrantied for use with either 6mm or 8mm hose.

8mm hose is going to put less strain on you pump as the water can flow more freely. I tend to average about 2-3 years from a Flojet pump using 6mm hose and no flow controller just a shut off valve on the pole.

Any of the options can work well, if possible have a try of someone else's set-up to see what works for them.

Would you recommend flojet as a pump?

Can you get replacment parts for flojets?  I have one but the top is broken (which houses diapragms etc has sezied and I broke it trying to free it!)  As far as i know the motor still works.

I've always used Flojet pumps and on average seem to have had less problems and a longer working life than window cleaners I know using alternative makes.
