Been having our customers pay via internet banking since I started and in 2 years all but 6 of my customers pay this way...great way of keeping track of payments and I have never left my house to collect money...so gives me quality time at home.

Cheers
Dave.

Cheque, online transfer, pay at post office, paypal, standing orders.

these are what I use, and I also do not leave SAE
I do not collect payments

my window cleaner leaves a pot, like the one you get rolls of camera film in.
he does his days work then delivers these pots with the bill and cleaning date in it, to the houses he is going to do the next day.
don't do houses myself, but seems like a decent idea. probably mostly cash aswell.

If my customers aren't in when I clean their windows they either pay by posting a cheque, internet transfer, or via my website >> www.southerncleaningservices.co.uk/payments

Most post a cheque... Lots now pay by internet banking, and a handful pay via my website with a credit or debit card.

only method round this neck of the woods is collecting  >:( >:( >:( >:(
Collecting in your neck of the woods is because you do it, I had someone say to me years ago you cant get them to send payments they will not send them. well they all send payments so it can be done, it is more if you want to do it.

Interesting range of views. I get paid by internet by a few customers. I leave SAEs for some. For smaller amounts, I leave it until next month. I HATE collecting, it's not only not enjoyable, but also extra working time. However, as I have lots of small domestics, many of which are elderly, I can't insist on online payments or cheques. They only deal in cash. Slowly these customers will go and I will insist on internet style payments, whether that's directly into my account or by Nochex I'm not sure.

We use cheque or internet banking.

Quite a few of our customers are now paying us 12 months in advance, they tend to be people who only live up here occasionally, 2nd homes etc.

We've probably got about 30 who pay like this, just picked up a new one today who has just promised to send me a payment for £180 for a years window cleaning and we haven't even done the first clean yet, but we already do about 15 others on the same estate of 25 houses
