Cant you put the hose in hot water then put one of your "y" connectors in.

Looks a fair bit too big to me.  I know it can work when a fit is tight but looking at mine, I think I would be trying to force a quart into a pint pot.

Thought worth a bash, i got  y connectors from wcw which where too big and when i got my pole from gardiners they use tiny ones, once soaked in boiling water they fitted well,

Thanks for the suggestion.  I have done something like that with another type of hose before.  Although it might just work, I've already had a piece of pole hose split through trying to get a connector in so I feel would just rather wait a couple of days for the smaller y pieces.  I have glass and ali to get me through as a stopgap so no prob.
