Why 'O' Why do people knock those who try????

Stop and think for a while before hitting your keyboards, If it wasn't for guy's like Mr Tumble, Discount window cleaning (clive) and a few others on here, who have the balls to try something different for the benefit of us all, then we would all still be up ladders with shammy's.

We now know, through Mr Tumble not to try white spirits, what will the next person try? Or should I say ''have the balls to try'' coffee, urine, Lemon Juice? Who knows, but the answer to getting rid of phobic glass is out there somewhere, so give these guy's a break and a bit of encouragement before knocking them, unless your prepared to try something new for the benefit of us all.

Thank you Mr T.  ;)

Jeff, if that's aimed at me then i'm not knocking Mr Tumble, i'm telling him that if he's put white spirit in his tank and pumped it through his pole hose it's going to stay there for ever - it's going to coat the inside of his tank and hose and will be next to impossible to remove it's as simple as that. There was no name calling no raised eyes just facts. I doubted the post because i couldn't believe someone would try adding it to water. I can't believe you of all people with your regard for health and safety would encourage people to try different toxic solvents in their systems and spray them about on possible unsuspecting customers properties.

the best bet now would be to fill the tank add a detergent then flush it through loads of times to clear the white spirit

No not at all, my post is not aimed at anyone inpaticular, and I'm not on about white spirits as such, my main reason for my post is to give the guy's who try for the benefit of us all a boost, and to remind anyone why these guy's try different things and methods for the benefit of us all.

Loads of people do things against H&S, so using toxic resins, I do not encourage, My main reason is Guy's are trying to help us.

I personally would not have tried white spirits but I'm glad Mr T had the Balls to do it for all to see,
perhaps later on he could respond with the results and maybe damage caused by using white spirit to his pump and system.

The worrying thing is that someone somewhere is going to chuck something potentially damaging in his system and encourage someone on here to do the same and start spraying it all over the country. We are mostly just windowcleaners not scientists - why dabble with things we don't understand? The system already works on hydrophobic and hydrophyllic glass does it not? Leave the chemical concoctions for the big boys to sort out first.

Jeff,

some of us have thick skin, I really dont mind getting knocked at all it makes me do it more and learn from what is said (there are a few people that add nothing and knock loads) but thats the same for everywhere in the world online or off, I tend not to take in these types of peoples comments because they will always be the same.

for all that help window cleaners................ GOOD ON YOU  ;D

Hi Ian
I never give a negitive comment to knock someone, if you read my post its not aimed at anyone, sometimes the writen word, does not come out the same as if you said it face to face, where you can sit and explain yourself more clearly.

I encourage anyone who tries to help others, I may have a little joke with some, but I try to stay possitive to encourage others who are trying to help us, it doesn't matter if they get it right or wrong, there trying to help.

My skin is as thick as a rino's Lol

I was not aiming at you or anyone. I respect people opinion if I think its wrong I say.

I respect everyone if they show disrespect to me then I can change, allways been the same.

I like reading other opinions if they have a point to them
