Am I imagining this - or can it really happen?

When I started cleaning my own house with WFP I am sure all the glass was hydrophillic (curtain effect when rinsing).
Now, after half a dozen cleans, when I wash and rinse, the water 'whizzes' down the glass so fast it's as the glass was 'super slippy' (almost as if it was being repelled). There's hardly any water left on the glass to dry (but what bit there is tends to form beads - like on hydrophobic glass)
What's happened to it

Your glass must have had polish on it of some kind at the start, over time you`ve got rid of it and now it`s starting to bead.I wouldn`t worry about it these windows are by far the easiest to clean as they dry as if you were using hot water,i wish all my windows were like this.

On a lot of new cleans the windows have a film of some sort on them which make the windows bead up and run off the glass just like it does off a ducks back, the water almost dissapeares in a split second. These type of windows are so easy to clean it`s cringeable,on this type of glass if you rinse on you are completley wasting your time it`s not needed at all.

Yes, 'like water off a duck's back' - that descibes it perfectly.
