Before people say it should only be done by WFP blah blah H and S blah blah, I am not interested causing an argument on WFP/ladders.

I have been asked by a few people to give their fasicas/guttering a clean.  I am not in the position to have WFP so what is the best way of cleaning them using ladders with a stand-off?

Is it spray TFR using a little spray bottle and then rinsing using a really wet cloth?  Is sugarsoap and good?  Or is it just fairy with good old elbow grease?

Fairy liquid will do the trick. No need for tfr when you're close enough to give it a little elbow grease!

Celulose thinners will help restore badly faded pvc I'm told.

hot water with fairy blast it on with a sponge clean off with dry cloth/rag.

better done in a 2 man team so ladders can be held if required...if not ensure they are on the fascia or use a stand off as you suggested, should really clean out their gutters as well while yr up there, thats if they need doing.

Already done the gutters.  The first one is sort of a friend, so priced it lowish (will get the missus to help) and then "should" get a few more as they are all in a row and when one has something done they are want it done.  I have told him to keep the price quiet.

You don't need pure water to clean these. You can do it from the ground with tfr and a long brush. Have a look at:

The cost of the kit is less than the price you'll get for yout first job using it!

This was done off ladders, using a stand off.
Just a bucket of water with some fairy in it, use a couple of wet cloths and have a couple of dry ones in your bag.

When you get to brackets, slide them to one side and clean, then do the other side of the bracket, only takes a couple of seconds to do each bracket.
Try to include the soffit in your clean, makes a better finished Job all around, and dont price to cheap, off ladders can take you a couple of hours,

most of the time fairy or your normal window cleaning liquid is good enough, I never used tfr when I was trad cleaning gutters etc as hands on with cloths 1 wet one dry, I used to use my applicator aswell, wet with it to soften up and hand clean doing the same going a long.
sugar soap also works on upvc.

I do loads of these over the summer with ladders and stand-off. I always use fairy and warm water with wet cloths and scrim or micorwipe to dry off after, they come up great.

I use ladders with standoff and a set of ladder stabiliser legs to stop ladder slipping as I work on my own most of the time.
