Or some electrical tape would do. Only one or two windings will do.

I used some of the "Loctite" supplied with the pole.

Put some tape round the top of the pole just under the thread to protect the carbon when screwing on the gooseneck, you have to really keep winding the gooseneck in order for it to grip the thread properly after a while you`ll find it will grip like any other gooseneck.

Like NWH commented: Wrap several layers of PTFE tape around the top of the pole and really tighten the gooseneck as tight as it will go by hand. It won't come undone if it's tight enough.

The 3 best Unique Selling Points with this pole has to be:

1. It's a perfectly balanced pole at any height
2. It's lightness whilst still remaining  3. very rigid.

All above suggestions seem to have worked for other users. This problem does occur forsome users of the gooseneck. I have had it happen on one of mine, but not on the other two!

The way I dealt with it was to put a dab of glue on the thread and tighten it fully up. If it needs to be undone then a sharp twist will 'break' the small amount of glue locking the thread.

I have been using the pole all day today myself and it's good to hear how other users are getting on with it.

We have the 35ft SL2's in stock and we will have the rest of the sizes back in stock next week.

A 35ft can be purchased with the longer length hose and can be added to later when we have the extensions back in stock next week.

If everything goes to plan we should be able to send out the majority of the back ordered poles by the end of the week if not the beginning of the next week.
