I think at some distant point in the past, this forum ran on the YaBB software (Yet another Bulletin Board),.. and when it was switched to the SMF software this was never changed from the default YaBB setting.

YaBB-1G was a member here long ago who, legend has it, invented the Water-fed pole following an angelic revelation.  He spread the message to the people through cleanitup, and later companies like tucker and ionic etc took up the mantle and now window cleaners lives are safe.  In many ways he is viewed as the window cleaners guardian angel.

After his work here was done, he left these shores to spread the WFP word to china and the middle east, and has not been seen since.

no one has seen him for a long, long time, and there is even some doubt about whether he existed at all.

BUT, some trad window cleaners have reported that sometimes when up their ladder cleaning a particularly dangerous window, the ladder has started to slide... but then stops.  They have felt the air go cold around them and a mysterious mist surrounds the bottom of the ladder.

When they look down, among the haze, they see a mysterious figure holding the ladder, and preventing it from slipping, yet when they climb down there is no one there, just an eeire silence and a simple insignia written in pure water: "YaBB - 1G SP1"

In homage to the revered YaBB-1g, many retain his insignia in their profile.
