Does anyone do these, never realised how much money is involved.

Just going through all my emails and a tender worth £3m just for window cleaning

Way to big for me though involved over 1000 properties accross England.

i do a couple of blocks from a housing assoiation. retired ressadents only mind. there sound as a pound but get new tenders in every year they have to because there mainly gov funded so mind your self. cant get away with big price incresses.

also not to worry about but do get alot of old girls complane 'youve missed one' because there insides are so dirty with smoke and cooking grease, but you have to be very carefull not to upset then coz they have nothing to do all day but moan to the assosiation!

anyone working with AnC***  will know  £750,000.000 is the min.amount of t/over over a 3yr period required as a small part of the tender qualification process..

I have completed 5/6 jobs over the last 10yrs but will not be tendering for them this yr,so chaps be aware if someone trys to sell you some of this kind of work on as it could be worthless unless you meet the t/over requirements.

I would go to the offices in sandown over the road from cash & carry i think that is there offices

The rules on tendering for local authority tenders changed last October, what was happening was the the same old companies i.e, the big boys were getting all the work. Now  they will look at smaller firms they are more concerned with your ability to look after the contract than your turnover.

I've seen a change in Council Tenders as well with the smaller companies now starting to win them, for example Angus Council. See the huge difference below between the big boys and the smaller companies.

are'nt  the council and housing association two different things when it comes to contracts  Also i seem to be getting contracts from high schools through a direct approach of which i would have thought this would be through the council. Or is this just the isle.

different things the council and housing associations, though the council might have sold the housing stock to the housing assoc

many schools have opted ut of council control and now decided how to spend the money they get

when i applied to be put on anchors interest to tender i was told it was to late as you had to notify them before beginning of june even though the contract doesnt start till next april.

this bit is wrong as we thought the same as yourself when we tendered and qualified for the £750k for the 3 years, but when i phoned them to find out the reasons why we wernt selected it seemed alot of people got this bit wrong and you had to turn over atleast £750k a year

I haven,t lost any sleep over them....its only 3/4 years ago they completed their approved list of contractors .. times change quickly...probability the big boys will get the contacts and the quality of service will suffer.

I applied for a tender, they said that they only wanted local tradesmen and that quality rather than cost was the main factor in offering the contract to the sucessful companies.

The contract went to companies that are 120 miles away who are going to sub-contract the work out to unknown companies, and the price was higher than mine.

I have had a housing association approach us via our website & ask if we are interested in tendering for their properties today.
The nearest thing we do to this is one nursing home we do every 6 wks, and it does not compare does it...
They are asking me to tender for 89 different properties...I have been sent details....how do I do it?
Do you go to each & price them? After this do you put in your price for the whole 89?
Give us a clue lads/lasses....
If we get this I will be changing my avatar.....

They have approached us via our website & asked if we would like to tender
