i need some cable advice
the cable between the battery and the altenator melted on my van, the cable touched the oil filler cap that was hot and it must have earthed and melted the cable, the battery was as dead as dead can be
autosparks.co.uk/index.php?cPath=116
im looking at the 2 red cables,
Suitable for up to 170 Amps
or

Hi Matt
Amps These guages will cover the length you need
5' 5-10' 10-15' 15-20'
250-300 0 AWG 2/0 AWG 3/0 AWG 4/0 AWG
Looking at your link, cable 61/0.90 is suitable for 300amps. and the other one 37 0.90 is suitable for 170Amps.
