FLYER - best header (attention grabing)
« on: July 02, 2008, 11:10:18 am »

I have one of Mikes sample flyers and on it he states ' Award winning carpet & upholstery cleaner, voted Englands most helpful carpet cleaner'

A - Is this true  ;D

B - Can I use that statement    ::)

C - If not, can I just use ' Award winnig carpet & upholstery cleaner' ( not mentioning the award was for 3rd in an egg & spoon race back in 1981  ::) )

I'm just working on some stuff for DP print to include and the last flyer I did was..............well a little wordy and didn't include any offers, so I want something more simple and direct.

Someone on the forum said a flyer heading that I liked ' Are your carpets letting you down?'

or how about:

Your home is spotlessly clean - but what about your carpets?

or

I have your children and unless you agree to a lounge, hall stairs and landing..........  ;)

Any other good ones???

Thanks

Hi Paul,

we've used

"Carpets Showing You Up ? - We make them beautiful again !"

or simply

"Dirty Carpets ? - we make them beautiful again!"

its short and sweet and gets the message across and has worked for us for

about 5 years,

regards

That's a good one Steve, I like that.

what response rate do you get on your flyer runs say per 1000 on average?

Trying to find someone to deliver for me, had quotes of £30 per 1000 but thats not solus, there is a local paper that delivers your flyer solus with the paper for £40 per 1000. Anyway for now I can deliver them myself, but just forward thinking.

Dont use the paper, most people give it a shake and the stuff that falls out goes in the bin.

Deliver them yourself or get someone you can trust to do them, maybe a financial sweetner for each job you get..  :P

it varies but about 3 to 4 jobs per 1000, but then we have been leafleting the same areas for about 13 years,so that must help  ;D

they go as solos anything else i think is a waste of time, i pay about £20 a thousand but only because i have nephews that need money  ;)

I know a friend who used to send out flyers in envelopes, but the flyer was all screwed up.

When the potential client took the ball of paper out they normally wanted to straighten it out to see what was on it, which was something like..

"I've already screwed this piece of paper up ready to be thrown away if what you are now reading is not relevant to you"

Different anyway :)

Very time consuming though. To hit the good % you need something like that but if it costs you alot then all the hard work is for nothing it's like having full colour A3 flyers when your average job ticket is £50 and you get 2 in 1000. You have to do the maths first. Double glazing firms have a bigger job ticket a pound for pound profit.

How about this

'As you read this, glance down and look at your carpet.

This is what you see everyday and don't notice, and the first thing your visitors see and do notice.'

You have to be a really fussy household not to have dirt and grit around the front door mat.

Too long

what about " You dirty rat" or " TV crew cold calling in this area in the next day, get your carpets cleaned now!"

Well I'm working on it.

Like the second one Shaun. Certainly gives that sense of urgency. Like when the inlaws ring and say they will be round in ten! ;D
