i have a 400l upright tank and where the tank has been molded together
it leaks a bit.  is it poss to drain tank and apply a sealant to stop the leak

It probably is possible to seal it up.

I`ve had wyvale tanks before and they leak like mad to the point that my van was soaked even at the front,they sent me different O rings and other things to stop it and nothing worked.Get a custom tank they will not leak unlike the tanks your on about that are not designed to have water sloshing around them in the back of a van.

get fiberglass resin, hardener and glass matting. you can fiberglass it sealed.

You can repair a lot of plastics with a soldering iron.

I have never repaired a tank but i have a water barrel same plastic just rub a hot soldering iron over where its leaking and with gentle rubbing motion over the area until nice and smooth and leak free.

i have though about my tank leaking and when having my cage designed i am going to as that the bars are removable at the front where battery will sit so that it can slide out
