My website has just gone live and I noticed a lot of threads on here regarding link exchange, can I do this? what do I need to do?
How will this help the site?
Any advice appreciated.

Many thanks

Can't change mine either, been trying for weeks.

Even e-mailed adminstrators and got no joy.

Try it without the http, just the www.blahblah. Thats what I did and it's fine.

Just tried it again - keeps coming up as an internal server error.

Cant change the web address on my signature and cant change my screen name from Carpets Plus to Steve Barnett.

No big deal, just p***es me off when I cant change something simple.

When you type in the url web address, are you typing in http..... or www.? I know most people only get the 'internal server error' when they include the http bit.

Just making sure mate.

On the signature I just want to change the 2 websites listed to my new cleaning site.

At the bottom of the profile modify page, I enter it just as www, but then the page automatically add the http after I press the apply button.

As far as changing my screen name is concerned, I put in my password and press apply and it just keeps sending me back to the same page - very frustrating !

On the 'Edit profile' page I just mimicked changing my details. At the very bottom where you add in the url I left in the http.... and lo and behold it came up 'internal server error'

I then deleted the http part up to the www's and then clicked the change profile button and it did it no prob's.

In the signature bit too Steve, if your adding websites they also need to be www only.

Hope it helps. Try it once more like above, if it still dont do it then you'll have to e mail them (again).

When you joined you had to fill in a profile. You can amend that profile, but only you can do it.
In yours, you told us your location. Maybe you want to add you email address, or your website.
You need to have your website as part of your "signature". I have "I like happy Customers" and then my website.
Your website their apparantly leads to better ranking - what you want for free.
From profile you can add your photo, then we can all have a laugh!

Go into your profile and have a play around.

Steve - I just changed mine - as you see I am now Joe 90

When you change your username are you going down to the bottom and putting in your password and then clicking change profile.

Yes Joe

But straight after I click it, the same page re-appears and the words Name and Password are in red.

I'm sure that I am putting in the right password, but I'm gonna go back through my old e-mails and double check.
