It's biting!
« on: June 26, 2008, 08:09:11 am »
I think the credit crunch is really starting to kick in down here. Calls have really slowed in the last couple of weeks. A bit of a worry, still working every day but nothing beefy its all a lounge or hall stairs landing. Starting to worry abit, how about you guys?

Cheers

No nice big jobs in, all lounge, or hall stairs. No one wants the whole house done as their are moving.

This week has been very good and so long as I don't get any dropouts next week will be the busiest week to date.

About 2 weeks ago I had sod all and was convinced it was the credit crunch kicking in.

Cleaned a show home this morning. The show house was being handed over to new owners tomorrow.

Sales girl initially offered me tea etc, by the time we had finished there was a meeting on in the office so couldnt have a drink.

General chit chat followed, she said meeting was between builders and owner of the Estate Agent (big firm in the south) the opinion of the Agent was that this down turn is going to continue for 2 to 3 years.

Another Agent I do EOT for hasnt sold a thing this month so far!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Guys

I am busiest I have ever been, literally working 7 days a week.

There is a pattern here, pint of lager for the first one to work it out.

Cheers

Maybe carpet cleaning will be something people decide to have a go at themselves to try and save pennies, if you type carpet cleaning into ebay there is pages and pages of vax and bissell equipment / solutions.
Think they will soon realise its not that easy and the results are pants ;D ;D

One of my neighbours had for sale board put up last Friday it was taken down Tuesday spoke to him today that was a quick sale? No was the reply the company pulled out of selling and will be concentrating on the letting side.

Did a job in the Maidstone area today old customer got a referral, job just across the road which I did, look like I will get some restaurants also (name dropping some times helps)

Take it that you are married, nearly finished refurbishing the shower area after 14 months.

Try any old email addresses you have stored from customers emailed 6 on Monday 4 have replied doing 2 of them Saturday then one 20th July all commercial customers.

Just dropped them a few lines explaining it is nearly 6 months since their last clean, would they like the traffic lanes or high traffic areas cleaned up.

I was surprised they even replied :o
