"Its a little business all of its own"
« on: June 24, 2008, 08:09:51 pm »
Customer made me smile today, we were chatting and he said...

"So is this your full time income now?"

My reply... "Oh aye, 2 years now"

He says... "Well I never realised.... I suppose its a little business all of its own!"

Little? Made me chuckle.... just do the math...  :P

Even with the signwritten van, uniform, website etc etc,... I still get that kind of comment every now and then! Public perception is often that its just beer money,..... and in times gone by that was probably true for the majority of shiners.

It always amazes me that people don't see how long you take to do there house and multiply it by 7 hours. They would be shocked.

Any business with under 50 employees in the EU is officially clasified as a "small business", in the USA "small" is any business with less than 100 employees.
