An old fella had cut an artery and died but the blood is all over, advised them to lift and throw carpets away but don't know where? Been left for 3 days now blood congealed in places and flies all over.

Therefore do it yourself, cut it into small squares with a stanley knife and bag it up. Take to your local disposal point and expalin what it is. They should advise you where to take it or more often than not it will just go in general waste. Or phone Aidan he's into this game now I believe.

Isn't that a crazy suggestion? Cut a blood soaked carpet up with a stanley knife? Do you not think there might be a reason it is classed as clinical waste, or were you joking?

No I wasn't joking.  What other way is there to dispose of a contaminated carpet?  Roll it up?  Incinerate in-situ?  It is standard procedure for dealing with contaminated carpets.  I would certainly be interested if you have another way.

Steve is well aware of the requirement for appropriate PPE whilst carrying out the operation.

Hi John

Thanks for pointing that out, I thought it was just a silly football dig and forgot about the Ibrox disaster.

Cheers
