What type of charger are you using now? how often do you charge it?

A good charger available from Halfords around £30 its an intelligent charger and ideal for what you need

check water levels
buy a smart charger 16AMP (£60)

I've never been to bed with an ugly bird but I've woken up with loads!

If you let a leisure run battery flat between charges it will shorten its life and it will not hold its charge for very long.
Check the charger is rated for the size of battery. I got good advice from Purefreedom as they are engineers and seem to know their stuff.

If you only charge the battery when the van is running that could be the problem. If you only do short trips between jobs it will not charge fully. This type of battery needs to fully charged and never run flat.

I use the Intelligent charger sold by cleaning spot
they sell them on ebay £40 delivered.
Re the split charge relay wired in your van
as previous post stated if you are not doing decent runs it will
not give the battery enough to charge it properly.
I have disconnected them both from my vans since buying this
charger and never had a problem.
