hi

has any one used roundbuilders.com  if so what did you think of them as i want to start window cleaning full time but i work long hours and don't have the time to go door knocking for work.

Buy 100 000 leaflets,( make sure its a simple but good design) and pay someone to deliver them,  esp  villages, do the same area evey month for 3 months. also put adverts in parish mags that don't have a window cleaner advertising . over a 6month period you will generate almost enough. then do a good job and word of mouth will kick in. but take your time and be patient.

thats what i did and its worked ok for me. I never had my van sign written but if you have enough cash do this also.

Here are some rough costs

Leaflets 20000 A6 D/S cost about  £120
Design of leaflet £80
Delivery  £30-£50 per 1000

Signwriting doesn't have to be expensive. Got a basic vinyl, just text in single colour done off of ebay, two sides and back for only 30 squid!

Back to the question though, when you say you have no time ... not even a one or two hours? As this is all you really need, either to just post flyers or best of all go door knocking. I was seriously thinking of going down the route you are thinking when my brother was about to join me, but we decided just to spend a couple of hours a day canvassing. We only did probably a total of 12-14 hours canvassing, and got 2 full days work for both of us, with work still coming in from letters we posted to those we couldn't speak to.

I will hasten to add as well, that we canvassed in the middle of the day which is not the best recommendation, I'd say between 4-7.30 at the latest is the best time, esp this time of year while it is still light.

So, the short answer is 'No' !

I can recommend Roundbuilders, they have built 80% of my round, been using them for a couple of years now. They havent been out for me for a while on the domestic side as i think they are busy. Well looking at your profile your email is hidden, you don't state your location (it's not 61A Redhill Road is it?!!! (joke!!!)) and everytime someone mentions wanting a round you tell them to use cleaner marketing. Looking back through your posts I see that you are not a window cleaner (or thats what you said but I see that you do a bit now) and you are just helping someone with the computer side of things. The fact that you have not heard of roundbuilders to a degree backs this up (although saying that they aren't exactly a household name). So an apology, If you have nothing to do with Cleaner marketing then fair enough prehaps I should of read all your posts. It may surprise you but I have nothing against Cleaner marketing it's just like I said, everytime someone posts something regarding them someone comes out of the woodwork saying negative things about them. At one time I considered using them but all the negative feedback and the fact that they seem  to avoid to avoid answering questions about the running of their company puts me off using them.
