It says on the container not to use on  flags. Anyone know why cos it seems to work fine on mine.

It drys rock hard,i`ve used it twice on flags and got away with it( i hope),only just noticed it says not to on the bottle,it might stain in some cases do you think and the makers are covering themselves, don`t think i`ll risk it again,ha ha.It`s boss stuff for sand joints though.I won`t sleep tonight now you`ve brought that to my attention,i`ll nip round to custys at light and take a peek,ha ha,dan

this keybond stuff, which looks to me like pva, smells like pva and is probably pva sets the sand but retains its elastic properties, which is good. try addding a 6;1 solution to a cup of kiln dried sand and leave for 24 hours and you will see what i mean. it aint rock hard but is still flexible and wont wash or blow out. i think it's a darn site cheaper than using acrylic or polyeurethane sealers and although it doesn,t enhance the appearance of the blocks it certainly seem s  to stabilize the joints.

Just rang marshalls tech help team , They say can leave round stains on flags as it pools in middle due to larger surface area  than concrete block  paves ,Should only be used they say on concrete paves .
Perhaps they put to much on thats why it pools,Ime going to try to put some on some some old slabs for a test.

Checked flags i had done and they were fine, the difference to block joints after applying keybond is un believable, rock solid.

If you did get staining surely you could jet it off with it only being water based?

I would urge some caution here guys,

There is most likely plenty of jobs you could use it on and it would be fine, then theres one when it does stain. If its a customers and you cant undo it your in the canoe twiddling your thumbs.

There must be a valid reason that they dont recommend it for concrete flags etc and that reason is likely to be that they dont want  being claimed against,

Beesley and Fyldes, don`t know if they are nationwide though,i have put a bit down on last 3 jobs, just in the corner when i started sanding and told custy to press it with finger in an  hour or so and then press a bit i haven`t put it on,every one told me to do the hole job,it costs roughly £6  a litre and i charge £12 a litre laid,i would do it for cost to be honest as i know sand s not going anywere when it rains,no weeds or ants for a good while either, keep it to ourselves though,ha ha

do you use it straight or diluted?  do you just resand the drive and pour it on straight out of a watering can with a fine rose?  does it not matter if you put more on in one spot than another?

You add one litre of gear to 5 litres of water so you get 35 litres from 5 litre bottle, bang it all over with watering can(fine rose).I`ve threw it down and it`s been perfect. You`ll poop when you first do it cos it`s like emulsion paint but it drys in 30 mins if it`s dry and warm,i`ve puddled it in places and theres been no problem as it doesn`t sit on block like it can on flags, gonna stick to block only now though after warnings on site, dan
