Was asked by a customer to clean all her upvc up today, never bother with this type of work so whats the best thing to use also if anyone has done the job in the past do you need protective gloves etc...cheers

Upcv cleaner or sugar soap non scratch scouring pads (white ones) you can wear gloves if you want the upvc cleaner dries out your hands a lot, white vinegar also works

no wfp ..... the job is for all upvc  window frames and  doors  Iam doing it off the ladders just wondering what a decent upvc solution to use as the frames have ground in dirt on them and the old lass wants it bringing upto new.

dont use cif or any white chalky pvc cleaner i made this mistake before it does workwell  but will give you problems for the next few cleans with wfp

hi, i've used morrisons cream cleaner with bleach and a used/worn in sponge scourer with damn good results,the frames must be wet before you scrub them and a good rinse after i don't know what everyone else charges but i charge £7.00 a frame upwards cream cleaner is around 70 pence a pop i use a kids juice bottle to disguise what it is-hope this helps

yeah this was along the lines of what we used but next few cleans with wfp there was a lot of milky white residue coming form frames

When somone ask me to clean upvc , I explain there are 2 options -  Wiping the frames ( just removing the surface dirt )   or  restoring with a chemical to bring the frames back to new look !  Obviously you have to quote accordingly to which they prefer
