All most there, I had to wait for SL2 to come back in stock, which has been a pain as its not been in stock for months, I spoke with Alex by email tonight and should be with me in a week or so

i have a sl-2 and i hardly ever use the extentions so iam very intrested in this gutter vac thing!!! can you tell me how you are going to make the curved top piece?

The U bend & brackets that fit on to the SL2, I asked Alex to find for me, once I am up and running then I will look at what attachments will be need to fit into the different size gutters

Use the attachments that come with the vac to start with. The short poles are great for getting into down pipes. They just push fit in to the "U"

With the crevis tool cut some "V" shapes in to the end piece so it can rake and dig in to compacted dirt and fit where the ties/slates make the gutter narrower.

Make sure you use butterfly or thumb nuts on the bracing section so it is easier to tighten up when adjusting the angle.

Cut the end of the "U" bend that goes in to the gutter on a slight angle.
This stops the tube from sucking down on to the bottom of the gutter and blocking itself.

I have the 640M Its the same model as supplied by Omnivac.
This works great even at 60ft and as it has 3 independent motors you can reduce the power when doing lower heights but have extra oooomph if needed.
The 515M is fine if you are sticking to standard domestic but personally I would say go for the more powerful model as better to have to much power available than not enough.

38mm hose is £60 + vat for 10m length which you can cut a section off to make your "U" bend. The 2 clamps and threaded rod are about £10 from B&Q and a roll of BLACK gaffer tape is only a couple of £.

With regards to the hose you can use cheaper or go very expensive. While making mine I used some really cheap hose which works ok but it does pinch relativly easily so it will be changed when I can be bothered to order some from Gardiners...lol

So for about £300 - £550 + vat (depending on vacuum and hose) you can convert your SL2 base sections for use as a Gutter Sucker.

Then just add some more base sections as and when you need to go higher for both windows and or gutters.
