I have gleaned that although he has had a jw background and that he has never become one himself, the way he conducts himself in religious (and other) threads shows me that he is even handed....

I simply think the way the Shiner conducts himself on this board - not polarising in views towards wfp and trad. topics, not pouring scorn on members choices - window cleaning, holidays, cars, belief systems etc etc etc. - would make him a good moderator.

If there is more than one moderator chosen, then fine.

Shiner, I have quoted myself in part - especially the bit in red. Where does that differ from what you have just said about your own background? What you subsequently wrote I was aware of ...

Seriously they attacked me!!! I was walking past a jw church one evening on my way to a party, a group of about 8 jw's came running out and accused me and my mate of throwing a stone through their church window It was nothing to do with us, but they wouldn't believe us and started attacking us!!!

I now know that's not true - kingdom halls (JW church as you put it) don't have windows!

There's many on here who could do it but they would have to want to and that rules me out. It is a thankless task and i don't feel comfortable being a target which is part of being a moderator.
A bit selfish i know, but i enjoy coming on here and have advanced because of what i have learned from others. I try to give something back in the form of trying to help others as i have been helped. But the giving back a moderator would be required to do is beyond me, i'm afraid.

Not sure if that was aimed at me or not? but I was simply telling a true story, I did not ask them to attack me, but they did!!! I assume someone had thrown a stone through their church window, and when they ran out me and my mate just happened to be walking past and they assumed it was us, they attacked and threatened to kill us! No joke, this is true! Women then came out of the church and calmed the situation down. I have nothing against jw's at all, I just don't like being attacked! They were very lucky their wives turned up when they did I can tell you!!!!
