Apart from where there are vents, I have always done frame tops on first cleans.  After a while, I started only doing them a couple of times a year.  I have switched to doing them every time now though.  Sometimes if I'm in a hurry to get finished I leave them alone as I don't think missing them once in a while hurts.

I'm absolutely surprised that you don't clean the top frames Alex, I personally don't think it's the way to go, even when your really careful, you can splash it, and still get a run, but if you spend one clean properly on the frames, then they do come up very nicely, only been doing wfp for 2 weeks, so yes I know I'm still wet behind the ears, but it works very well for me, no problems!

And once you clean em well, it's just a matter of keeping them clean. Looks brilliant to see all of the frame sparkling.

 ;D ;D ;D Wet behind the EAR'S   ??? ??? ???

Just how high is the thing turned up  ??? ??? ???

Only joking m8!
I have just read the whole blinking thread...
Never read such drivel..

Wash everything Vented or not!
(sure some vents do run... so what go back to them do it again!!

NEVER HAD A PROBLEM... MAYBE I AM JUST A BETTER WINDOW CLEANER!  ::) ;D

Your called a WINDOW CLEANER... Not a GLASS CLEANER! :o :o :o

I know it's only one job but I picked up a job a few weeks ago partly because the previous W/C (WFPer) was leaving run marks.  When she showed them to me, it looked like it was because he had been washing the vents too.  You say you can go over those bits again but the trouble is that vents can run for quite a while after you have left.  Of course another issue is that by washing some types of vents, you can also squirt water into the house.
