sl2 or slx?
« on: June 10, 2008, 05:27:36 pm »
Just wondering what  people think of the two poles??
thinking of treating myself to one but dont know witch as iv only used telescopic poles befor and wonder how hard it is to get use to the fishing pole type?

and the clamps seem a bit of a pain on the slx to start with but how are they now you have had them a few weeks?

cheers joe

Joe I do not have a sl2 but for high cleaning they are ideal, I got my hands on one and they are very lite easy to put together and will be getting one if we win a contract it needs a 50ft pole min,

I recently got a SL2 and is a fantastic pole really light and rigid took me by suprise when i first used it it does take getting used to for run of the mill domestics with differing window heights but if you have a run of windows all the same height and at a great height then imo it takes some beating and i have a facelift too that is a great pole
Cant comment on the SLX as i dont have one or used one

I've got an SL2 and it's great.
I had a look at Roy Harding's SLX, and was impressed.

Almost as light as the SL2, and all in one convenient telescopic pole.
Means you're carrying all the sections in one on downstairs windows though...

The poles lite anyway, I use heavy pole everyday on downstairs and up's, from the weights said about the slx it is lighter that a bucket on a belt with water, mob and blade in. I thought you did weights Squeeky ::)

The sl-x is (actual) 25ft long (30ft useable length), so IMO up to 30ft= sl-x, above 30ft= sl2.

Both poles will give you the best of both worlds up to 60ft. ;)

;D I'm not saying I couldn't cope with it, just that it's heavier than just using one section of SL2.

God, most of my downstairs is done with the 12ft extender, and I'm sure that's heavier!
