why am i not surprised that mr squeaky clean is dishonest.

Whoever just said that those who are doshonest tend not to do very well, has hit the nail on the head.

Those who dont declare their full earnings and dont pay their dues are often the same ones who will then moan that prescription charges, tax on fuel, etc etc is too high.

Maybe if all the theiving scoundrel operators paid their way our taxes wouldnt be so high.

Absolutely detest people who fiddle the government.  really really gets my goat.  May a plague of lucusts infest your underpants.

You're naive if you EVER think that would happen.....
They'll just waste it like they have always done.

I personally declare everything, as it is far too risky not to. As window cleaners we are one of the most likely groups of people to be investigated by the taxman!! It's just not worth it!!!! :(

Don't be such a hypocrite Toilet Clean.
That picture above summed you up.

I'm doing perfectly well thankyou, but I don't think you are.
That's why you come on here spouting tripe and putting people down.
Because you're insecure and feel you have to act big.

The only big thing you are is a big liar. ;)

self employed that lenders borrowers mortages wont touch me yet,

it is for this reason that i declare all my earnings. I have a self cert mortgage at the moment but would like to go mainstream as it will save me money in the long haul.

See it's not all good working for yourself - Credit can be difficult to get or where you can get it you end up paying silly interest rates.

I would rather earn a lot and pay a lot of tax, than earn little and pay little or no tax.

Tax is tax, we all know what we have to pay and that should reflect in what we charge the customers.

Which is all well and good but most of (my) customers seem to assume I don't pay tax ::)

I always get: "I've not been to the bank, can I give you a cheque this time?"

I actually prefer cheques as they have to be banked...cash just seems to get spunked!

I was thinking that too. Will now always wash my hands after handling cash.
