« on: June 01, 2008, 01:15:04 pm »
Which is the best petrol pressure washer to buy (within a limited budget) ive seen them on Ebay for about £120 ???

And a stupid question........ do they work off of my van mounted tank ? or do they need mains pressure?

Cheers Dave

i wouldnt go for one of the cheap ones on ebay as it wont last long , if i was you i would check merrill fox website out he sells good reliable gear and very cheap , your pressure washer will run either from your tank or mains pressure hope that helps.
better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove any doubt

Why pedal American gear and watch British firms go down the pan ? At least you get it with BSP fittings not NPT which you can't easily get here - spend a bit extra and buy from the UK

If I can offer a bit of advice, I would recommend you buy honda the reason for this is when I wanted my machine looking at the first thing the guy asked was what make of washer is it ? when I said honda he said good because he would have parts and they are better than the cheapo ones that are around. I have heard a few people say that these won't last very long as the quality is poor.
You get what you pay for.

Many machines look like honda but are not quite the same ! Pumps from Italy like interpump which are general pump or the like

I got all my gear from merril fox and changed the connectors to ones available from my local dealer,it cost buttons,i got the honda 390 which is a great machine,i got mine solely down to cost as the dollar rate was good at the time,i had the lot delivered in a week, the only snag was i was new to the game and had no one to turn to for advice,i had to rely on this site, send Hal at merrill a list of what you need and ask a uk dealer to match it,if he can`t and you`re confident to set up alone then make your saving and buy abroad, the £500 i saved came in very handy when starting out.

Business is Business with the price of the dollar no one in this country can match USA prices for quality pressure washers, or many other things for that matter.

Buy cheap Buy dear you may as well through £150 down the drain as try to do profesional job with a washer in that bracket.
