Recently the forum changed and you are no longer allowed to post pictures or links in the old fashion way.

Here is a guide to the new method. I hope the Moderators will keep it sticky:

Ok to post a picture either you can use the "Additional Options" within the forum to upload a file from your computer.

Or like me you can upload them to Photobucket, Flickr, Picasa or any other online photo hosting site.

To post the actual image on the forum linked from a hosting site you will need to follow these steps:

Posting Linked Pictures

1. Go to the hosted image

2. Depending on what Internet Browser you use you will need to right click the image, click "Properties" then "copy" the URL Address of the picture. The picture url will look something like this:

http;//www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/Themes/classic/images/mysql.gif

3. Now come to your post or reply on the forum and click this button



then right click and "paste" the pictures link between the {img}{/img} like so:

{img}http;//www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/Themes/classic/images/mysql.gif{/img}

4. Now here is the complicated bit, the forum has changed so now before posting you will need to remove the http;// so it looks like this:

{img}www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/Themes/classics/images/mysql.gif{/img}

Then "post" and you picture will appear on the forum itself instead of people having to click a link to see it.

Posting Links

To post a link follow steps 3-4 above but instead of clicking this button:



click this one



and you will get this:

{url}{/url}

so post the link between {url}{/url} like so, AND REMOVE THE HTTP;//

{url}www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/index.php?actions=post;board=4.0{/url}

It was really hard to post the guide because of the new restrictions. So everytime I noticed a mistake I had to go back, and remove all the https again!!! Luke
