Thanks to Groundhog,  I have 2 Harris Poles. One connected to a 5 litre sprayer full of detergent and 20 metre of b and q 5mm pipe plus choice of brush for doing soffits, con roofs etc and a quick release to change to pure water for rinsing. Does a lovely job on finials.

Plus another with an autobrush for normal windows.

Very impressed but have one very minor  criticism, due to me banging windows shut with it, it doesn't work clampless anymore. Been using both now for a few weeks and has saved me loads of time. Lightness does make a massive difference to both my body and time spent.

No, not yet.  I've been too busy dealing with my hate mail!

The design you had is called twisted rope and is very common in Roman mosaics like this modern version one:



Not much to do with Harris poles, though.
